Located in the Oak Park Historic District in Maryville, Tennessee, new owners of Sweet Celebrations purchased the former Kay’s Ice Cream Food Shoppe building then began to seek renovations that would be acceptable by local zoning boards and the local community who have patronized the local establishment for over 65 years. STERLING worked with the developer to completely remodel this 2,106 square foot sentimental space where the building now houses a new bakery and catering service (yes, patrons can still obtain locally famous Kay’s ice cream by special order).  Renovations include; indoor and outdoor dining space, display area, modern food prep/kitchen area, new paint scheme inside and out, upscale landscaping, along with the retention of the landmark “ice cream cone” outdoor sign. STERLING is proud to have had a small part in helping to bring back to the community a new business in an old familiar place.
